If you're made it to my website than you're probably interested in guitar straps for your acoustic guitar. I think the biggest problem you might have is that there really is too much variety. I know what you might be thinking, "it's just a strap". Sure, it's just a strap, but this is your guitar and you have to make sure that you have one that is going to help you perform better.

Acoustic guitar straps coming in a lot of different varities. The colors typically vary from brown and black. Some are made out of some synthetic material, while otehrs are made of real leather.

The whole point of this strap is comfort for your playing and performing. You want something that doesn't cut into your shoulder after a while. You want something that will feel good. You always want it to look good because it needs to mesh with your acoustic guitar.

There are a few things that you have to understand before buying. For example some straps will require you to have to drill a hole in your guitar to basically attach it to the heel. I know for me, I'm not interested in drilling anything into my guitar. So you can get straps that have a slider on it, so that you don't have to make a construction project out of your guitar.

For example, the Martin Leather guitar strap is just a perfect example of this. Basically it wraps around the heel, under the strings and just about the nut. You may not appreciate hwo smart that is, but it will save you from drilling a whole and possibly causing damage to your guitar.

As you can guess there are premium types of straps and maybe that isn't what you're looking for. You can get a perfectly cheap adjustable nylon strap that does a great job. It might not be a fancy leather one, but does the job. I heart a lot of great things from the brand Protec. They produce this type of strap and I only hear good things from people about it. Now in this case you'd have to drill or have the hardware already on your guitar for the strap.

Either way you have a lot of choice with it comes to an acoustic guitar strap. I've done a little investigating for you on brands I like and things you should know. I hope you enjoy them.
